                       The Corruptible The Corruptible

Ex-homicide detective Ray Quinn never had glamorous thoughts of the life of a private investigator—but being cornered in a bathroom stall by the enraged philandering husband of a client? That’s something he could live without. Retired from homicide and living with a painful disability, Ray’s options are limited. Stick to the job, keep impetuous sidekick Crevis alive, and spend quiet evenings with trusted pal Jim Beam, that’s about the best he can hope for.

As a new client emerges, Ray finds himself in an impossibly large boardroom holding a check with enough zeros to finally lift him from his financial pit. The job seems easy enough: find Logan Ramsey, an ex-cop turned security officer who’s taken off with sensitive corporate information. But few things are easy in Ray’s world, regardless of the amount of zeros in the check.

In what should be an open-and-shut case, Ray stumbles across Logan Ramsey in a seedy motel room. Only Ray wasn’t the first to find him. Now Logan’s dead, the client’s information is nowhere to be found, and Ray’s employer is less than forthcoming with the details. Suddenly the line between the good guys and bad guys isn’t so clear. With a foot in both worlds and an illuminating look at an unhappy ending that could well be his own, which will Ray choose?

Soon he discovers that, not only was the pastor murdered, but the case may be linked to his and Trisha’s ambush. The Void                           The Void

Florida Department of Law Enforcement Agent Robbie Sanchez devotes her life to crime prevention, and it shows: She has no personal life and doesn’t know the meaning of a day off. After all, someone has to be around to clean up the mess crime leaves behind. So when Officer Brad Worthington is brutally murdered, Agent Sanchez is called to the scene along with Brad’s best friend, Detective Eric Casey. The two turn to Lifetex, the genetics lab near the scene, hoping their elaborate security system might have captured the crime outside. But what’s going on inside the lab is far worse: a renegade scientist is cloning humans! As Robbie and Eric pursue clues–and a growing attraction–they are caught in a deadly battle as the clones begin to act on their own volition…but this battle threatens to claim more than human life; the clones are vying for human souls.

Just read “The Corruptible” from the library. Mysteries have to be really good to hold my interest and this was, plot and characters. Probably the most satisfying ending of any novel I have read. I’m going to have to buy your other books that are not at the library!

    1. Joan,

Thank you for the kind words about the Ray Quinn novels. As it stands right now, there won’t be a follow up to the Corruptible. If that changes, I’ll post it here. Thank you for asking, and God bless!

I agree that there should be at least one more book for Ray to finish his story and recovery. Do you still attend Covenant Presbyterian Church? My son and daughter-in-law attended there for years before they moved to Colorado two years ago, and commented that they saw you there. Their names are Steve and Ellen Johnson.

I love your books. I was a really big John Sanderson and Harlan Coben fan as well as a few other writers over the years but since I got saved three years ago I have been having real difficulty with all of the swearing and filth in these writers books. I thank you for writing riveting and suspenseful novels that are not only faith based but are clean as well. A book for me really doesn’t even have to be faith based but I do wish that these other great writers could write without injecting all of the filthy and foul language into their novels. Thanks again for the clean and great books.

    1. Aaron,

Thank you for the kind words. Sorry I didn’t get back with you right away. I do try to keep it clean yet still taut and relevant. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed the books. Take care, and God bless!

I just finished reading “The Night Watchman” after telling myself for a year that I had to read it. It was fantastic. I had been reading Lee Child’s “Jack Reacher” books, and enjoyed them, but I found no comparison between them and Ray Quinn. Ray Quinn was much more enjoyable, without feeling guilty for the language, sex, and other stuff that comes from popular fiction. And I loved the hardboiled storytelling a la Dashiell Hammett & John D. MacDonald that I read as a teenager. It is now time to pick up “The Corruptible.” Please keep it up.

Hi i’m a fan all the way from Durban South Africa, I’ve been trawling book shops hoping for something new from you. I absolutely love your books. I’ve read all the books you’ve written. I love Ray and his side kicks. I guess you too gotta have a life and i’ll just hang on till you finish your next book, hint hint – whatever it may be i’m sure to love it too. May the Lord bless you in all your writing. You books are really great at showing all the different ways the Lord calls us to Himself. I love the prayer ladies in the Belly of the dragon. Well before I write a whole book on how much I love your books I shall say again may the Good Lord Bless you and keep, may He shine His face upon you and give you peace.

I’m reading Night Watchman for at least the second time. Enjoy it so much and look forward to reading The Corruptible again. I agree with the other comments, I sure hope there is another Ray Quinn book in the works. I love mystery and suspence without fluff. These books are as exciting as the authors mentioned without language. Thank you and hope you continue.

I just read Rolling Thunder. It is my first book that I read of yours. All I can say to that is, you are now my favorite author! I have been reading other books and just can’t find an interest in any of them,,, at all. I was crying like a baby at the end of this book and one of my rules is, if you cry it gets an automatic +10. I am now on a search of your other books. My life is just so horrible and I got to the point where I just gave up hope. After reading this book however I can see where I have to let GOD back in…….. so thank you for that 🙂 Peace to you.

  11. I just read the library copy of “Night Watchman” after a long break from your books. Loved, loved, loved it! Thank you so much for writing it. Looking forward to “The Corruptible”. Your writing always ministers to me–I don’t live in a police-world, but so many do–nice reality check now and then.

      Good day Mr Mynheir

Totally arb question – Is your surname Gaelic? I keep thinking about Asterix and Obelix and that rock Obelix always carried…

Anyhow, I have all your books and have read them all at least 5 times each… I known it’s easier to read than to write, however a few new books from you would be greatly appreciated. I love them all. They are part of my most treasured books. I hope after all these years there’s a new series in store for us😊😊😃

God bless the work of your hands and your family ❤ Neo Motshumi South Africa🌸
